The artist Isolde Folger
Isolde Folger was born in 1961 and felt already drawn to creative art since 1984 and from 1999 on she exclusively devoted herself to painting. This effective decision convinced Isolde Folger to undergo training with the artists Heinz Altschäffel and Robert Höfling as well as Franz Kochseder.
Her works are distinguished by a sure choice of the forms and colors which she is using. Her inner feelings are spontaneously translated in a thrilling way. Her compositions reflect her virtues: courage, temperament, verve, spontaneity and passion to a high degree. Accordingly her pictures convey considerable emotions which present themselves in various ways: on the one hand by gestures of excited, raging emotional expressions in energetic forms and colors and on the other hand more recently by increasing appeasement and emotional introspection in an almost monochrome style of representation. A conflict which fits the artist well who has humanly, technically and as a painter matured and which makes her work especially diverse and thus more interesting yet. By this bipolarity lives her creative work, of the emotions of her fierceness on one hand and the introspective on the other hand, this makes the work of Isolde Folgers come alive. For the viewer the attention is kept very high together with great fascination.
For this very reason public collections and museums, as well as the German Bundestag have acquired pictures of Isolde Folger. The interior strength of her work, the warmth and flair are becoming more intimate, the temperament and passion of the artist are being absorbed and become ones own, one cannot escape anymore the influence of these paintings
